The final episode of Derren Litten’s Scarborough comedy airs on national TV on Friday night and Derren says he will be watching the show in Scarborough.
However there is a degree of mystery around what exactly is going on in the town on Friday night.
On Thursday posters appeared in some of the South Bay businesses that feature in the show suggesting they will be showing the programme on Friday night.
There have also been a number of cryptic posts on the programmes social media feeds over the past few days.
Then on Friday afternoon Derren tweeted that he will be watching the final episode in Scarborough on a big screen.
Later on Thursday the barriers in South Bay that had been seen in the earlier post from the @Scarborough_TV account were removed from the Bay and the tweet mentioning a big screen also disappeared. Shortly after which Derren sent a further tweet.
The final episode of the series is on BBC1 at 9:30pm on Friday and is titled “The Ballad Of Karen And Mike”.
The episode guide says..
At Geraldine’s salon tensions run high when Tony and Hayley drop in to talk through their plans for the renovation.
Karen, Lisa Marie, Mandy and all the regulars fear that the heart is about to be ripped out of their beloved salon, and want to know what’s going on.
Meanwhile at Marion’s, Mr Ferris has popped round with a freshly baked pie and a very unexpected proposal, whilst at The Good Ship, Jack is making the final preparations for the big charity night, which includes a meat raffle and some very special guests. Mike has agreed to sing and is surprised when an admirer makes him an offer which could change his and Karen’s lives forever.
